Description
Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and literally devoted his life to the blues, master John Lee Hooker appeared at the Blues Festival in Manchester, USA on April 30, 1986, recorded on a soundboard from Radio On Air Master. Even on the stage in the 1980s, when the unprecedented blues boom was coming to an end, his unique style was still apparent, and it was a full-throttle show of “soul blues” that had a great influence on many musicians, including the Stones. Here, Robert Cray, who could be called a follower, participated fully until the middle of the show, and his playing was impressive, as if it foreshadowed the sound of a new modern arrangement. In addition, at the end of the show, Elvin Bishop, John Hammond, and other performers from the day also joined in, and they performed a spectacular performance that showed no signs of decline.
