Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and literally devoted his life to the blues, master John Lee Hooker appeared at the Blues Festival in Manchester, USA on April 30, 1986, recorded on a soundboard from Radio On Air Master. Even on the stage in the 1980s, when the unprecedented blues boom was coming to an end, his unique style was still apparent, and it was a full-throttle show of “soul blues” that had a great influence on many musicians, including the Stones.
