John Abercrombie Trio John Abercrombie/France 1987

This is a live soundboard recording of John Abercrombie’s trio. Although it is called a trio, it is a three-headed band with three people listed. A live album of this formation was also released on the ECM label, and this is the next item after listening to that. The sound quality is excellent with FM Broad sound source. The master also included a little bit of DJ’s French talk, but it has been cut out and edited so that you can enjoy only the music. As for the members other than Abercrombie, Peter Erskine is famous as the drummer of Weather Report. Mark Johnson was active as a back up for Bill Evans (the pianist), and later performed with Peter Erskine in Bass Desire, which he leads himself.
