Introducing a radio album that instantly changes your room to 30 years ago, which was broadcast on a certain national program “Rock Live Selection.” This work is a special feature on Jimmy Page’s “OUTRIDER” tour from a Japanese radio program hosted by a famous DJ.It was recorded by a maniac at the time of the broadcast, and is directly from a treasured cassette. It has been digitized. The live performance itself uses a standard high-quality sound board, but it is wonderful that the real-time DJ comments overflow with the sense of the times. After all, speaking of “OUTRIDER” in 1988, WHITESNAKE’s “Still Of The Night” and KINGDOM COME’s “Get It On” were all the rage, and there was a wave of reappraisal of LED ZEPPELIN in the world. The original Jimmy Page also co-starred in Robert Plant’s “NOW AND ZEN”, and the band reunited at the Atlantic Records 40th anniversary concert, and the golden signboard of “LED ZEPPELIN” was starting to take off. And finally, a large number of ZEPPELIN numbers were released at live performances, which was a turning point that led to the later COVERDALE/PAGE and PAGE & PLANT. In fact, the power of the ZEP number is tremendous, and just as we had enjoyed the feeling of being “different than I expected” in “DEATH WISH II” and THE FIRM, the DJ in this work was also enthusiastic and said “Well, that’s a shame after all.” LED ZEPPELIN will be disbanded!” he says with deep emotion. You can hear the joy in his voice as he says, “Finally!” and without even looking at his face, you can tell he can’t contain his grin. As the DJ confesses, the song selection is extremely arbitrary by the DJ himself. As for the live performance, “Who’s To Blame,” “Prelude,” and “Over The Hills And Far Away” were performed at the “October 19, 1988 Cleveland performance,” and the rest were performed two days later at the “October 21 Dayton performance,” from which the ZEP number began. Choose with emphasis on. There is no need to worry about the DJ’s performance. And backing member John Miles tells Jason Bonham that the DJ is “reminiscent of Robert Plant.” Although he is described as having a “youthful vocals” on the show, Miles is actually a British veteran who is older than Paul Rodgers and has a long career. However, the tone of his voice is certainly youthful, and although I didn’t feel it so much in the studio version, I couldn’t help but smile as he sings the ZEP number in a slightly imitative manner (David Coverdale screams with a cracking voice) It’s much more natural). The show concludes with a large chorus of “…and she’s buying a stairway to heaven” and a moving instrumental version of “Stairway to Heaven.” Listening to it now, knowing what happened after that, the overall feel is more like a prequel to PAGE & PLANT, or a slightly lighter “zinc airship.” This is a piece that gives you a sense of what kind of reproduction the head family worked on during the ZEPPELIN re-evaluation whirlwind that occurred in the latter half of the 1980s, and how it was received by fans and media at the time. More than just a high-quality soundboard live album, this is a time machine album that breathes in plenty of the atmosphere of the times and transforms the room into the 80’s. DJ Intro Tonight I would like to introduce that “Jimmy Page on Stage” I think! When I listen to this live performance, I can see that John Miles has a youthful groove that reminds me of Robert Plant, and it’s quite good! After Led Zeppelin disbanded, he was active in producing solo albums and soundtracks, forming a band called Farm, and creating a solo album called Outrider. No one can deny that Led Zeppelin is the biggest band. So I selected the songs subjectively, and I thought I’d listen to mainly Zeppelin songs. I think this is not just my request, but everyone’s as well. 2. Who’s To Blame 3. Prelude 4. Over The Hills And Far Away 5. In My Time Of Dying 6. DJ Talks It was an exciting performance. Wow, that’s good. When I listen to Over The Hills and In My Time Of Dying in succession, I feel even more strongly that it’s a shame that Zeppelin disbanded, but Jimmy Page is, in a sense, a member of the current rock scene. He was a great guitarist who had the foresight to realize this, or rather, established a musical style that centered on riffs rather than just playing phrases slowly, and this was enough to predict the rock scene of the 80s and 90s. , I feel like it was a great achievement. Regarding that, Zeppelin itself had a clear concept, but when it came to solos, it wavered a bit…I’m not happy with that, but I think they’ll be able to do it properly eventually. Masu. 7. Wasting My Time 8. Custard Pie incl. Black Dog 9. Train Kept A Rollin’ 10. Stairway To Heaven 11. DJ Outro Well, when Stairway To Heaven started, what was the unusual reception? I felt that the difference in reaction between the solo and Zeppelin numbers clearly showed how this concert was built based on needs. (Laughs) Jimmy Page is currently on a creative break, and his solo projects and band projects after Zeppelin are not going well. His current guitar playing is also wonderful, reminiscent of Zeppelin’s active days, and he’s a musician with great potential, so I’m sure he’ll do great work again in his next project. That’s what it feels like. FM BROADCAST RECORDING Jimmy Page – Guitar John Miles – Vocal Jason Bonham – Drums Durban Laverde – Bass
