Description

From the US tour after the release of the album “Benefit” in 1970, the appearance at the “Randall’s Island Festival” held in New York on July 17th is recorded almost completely with good quality for an audience recording at that time. First of all, this festival also had appearances by Jimi Hendrix, Mountain, Van Morrison, etc., and there is film footage, but there is no Jethro Tull recording, so this live recording can be said to be a valuable record. The first song of the live performance is “Nothing Is Easy” from the familiar album “Benefit” at that time, and the second song “My God” from the following year’s “Aqualung” also features Ian’s eerie flute solo. In addition, the piano solo in the second half of “With You There To Help Me”, the powerful drum solo in the familiar “Dharma For One”, and Martin’s 12-minute versatile guitar solo in the second half of the show are all reproduced with a stable sound throughout, fully reproducing the charm of Tull at this time. 1.
