Description

This is a recording of the Detroit concert on November 28th from the band’s first American tour in 1969, recorded with a fairly good audience recording for the time. The band focused on songs from their debut album, and while they had a strong blues influence, they also featured hard progressive elements. Although the lineup was a simple four-piece before keyboardist John Evan joined, their high level of performance was already overwhelming. This is a rare early live performance that brings to mind Ian Anderson’s wild, one-legged flute playing. 01. Intro / Nothing Is Easy/02. Bouree / Living In The Past/03. A New Day Yesterday/04. Fat Man/05. My Sunday Feeling/06. Dharma For One/07. We Used To Know [Live At Grand Riviera Theater, Detroit, MI USA, November 28th 1969] Ian Anderson (Vocal, Flute & Guitars) / Martin Barre (Guitar) / Clive Bunker (Drums & Percussion) / Glenn Cornick (Bass)
