Description
On March 13, 1973, Germany’s Munich performance was recorded with a superb audience recording. Disc 1 includes Tull’s masterpiece “Thick As A Brick”, released the previous year. Tull’s stage at the height of his powers, overwhelming the listener with his dramatic development and groove-filled performance, with the familiar Bouree in the middle, flute solo, drum solo, organ solo, etc., is incredible, and “Thick As A Brick” in particular is a spectacular performance that lasts for about 70 minutes, more than twice as long as the album. Considering the time of 1973, it was recorded with an astonishing level of ultra-high sound quality, and the clarity, balance, and stability of the sound are all at the highest level, which will greatly impress everyone who listens to it. The technical drumming of heavy drummer Barry Barlow, who joined in place of Clive Bunker, is superb, and the incredible performance, which can be said to be the peak of Tull’s powers, is a must-listen for all rock fans. The medley performance of the familiar Cross-Eyed Mary, Left-Right, Audition, and Aqualung in the second half of the show is also recorded with a truly wonderful sound. The entire recording is more than two hours, but the last 37 minutes, including No Rehearsal and Locomotive Breath from the encore Wind Up, are from the Berlin performance two days ago, and are also recorded with the same high sound quality as the main part. This is the ultimate high-quality live album, where you can enjoy the awesomeness of Jethro Tull’s live stage with ultra-high sound quality, and it’s no joke to say that every British rock fan should have one in their home.
