Description
The legendary mono mix of the famous album “TRUTH” will be released in the highest quality ever. There was a similar concept album in the past, but this work is neither a reintroduction nor a reprint of it. Introducing an upgrade version that is completely new for the first time. All of a sudden, I started talking about “illusions” and “upgrades.” I’m sure some of you don’t understand what I mean, so I’ll explain step by step. In the 1960s, stereo and monaural versions were often produced at the same time. Jeff Beck’s “TRUTH” is one such work, and when it was first released by British Columbia in 1968, it was released in stereo (SCX 6293) and monaural (SX 6293). The stereo version became the standard for “TRUTH” and continues to be reissued to this day, but the monaural version was buried in the darkness of history. But the story doesn’t end there. The UK’s first mono version of “TRUTH” was not simply a down mix of the stereo version, but the fundamental mix itself was different. For example, there are small differences in all songs, such as the different applause for “I Ain’t Superstitious,” but larger differences include the ending of “Ol’ Man River” being a few seconds longer, and the ending of “Beck’s Bolero” having a difference that is not present on the stereo version. A 20-second reverse-rotating guitar solo was added. Although it cannot be said to be completely different, it was a “different work”. This is not always the case if it is monaural, and in fact, even if the same “TRUTH” is monaural, the US version has no difference in take from the stereo version. This is because it is the UK’s 1st press edition. “SX 6293” with such different mixes has been digitized several times, but this work is the definitive edition that updates its highest peak. Recently, BLACK SABBATH’s early album and the UK 1st press LP title of “WIRED” have become popular, but this work was also produced by the same overseas audio enthusiasts as those masterpieces. Although the quality of previous releases has been determined by the amount of scratch noise, the level of this work is far from that. The mint condition disc is played in a high-end environment specialized for analog reproduction, and even though no processing has been done after digitization, there is no scratch noise. On the contrary, the sound is glossy and there is no uneven rotation of the player, and it is as beautiful as if it had been digitized from the master tape itself. It may be said that it is a remarkable feat that has produced many masterpieces, or it may be said that it is a wonder how they were able to achieve such a sound. In any case, the accuracy is on a different level than normal analogue triggering. Those who have experienced “WIRED: UK ORIGINAL LP” will be able to experience this amazing quality, and this work is exactly the “TRUTH” version. Even if there were no mix differences (and there are), the natural sound and freshness of the first pressing in the home country would be an amazing sound.
