Description
From the Japan tour accompanying the release of “Loud Haler” in 2017, the band members performed three shows in the Kanto region, all using uncompressed multi-ear monitor sources for monitoring, and the digital audience master from the front row, all fully matrixed and completed. The first day, January 25th at Pacifico, and the two consecutive shows on January 30th and 31st at the Tokyo International Forum, all of which are familiar from the same label, have been professionally mastered using various IEM matrix sound sources. The sound, which is a perfect balance of multiple IEM sources with different mix balances used by each member and the audience source, is of course mainly Beck’s guitar, and the band sound is recorded in a perfectly separate position, so this time too, it is of the same quality as a leaked stereo soundboard sound source. This time, the band members were joined by two female members, BONES singer Rosie Bones and guitarist Carmen Vandenberg, and the opening song “The Revolution Will Be Televised” was performed every day with Rosie walking around the stage with a megaphone in hand. After that, seven of the 11 songs from the album were set, including the pre-release single “Live In The Park.” In particular, the tickling vocal and guitar exchange in “Scared For The Children” and the intense riffs reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix in “Right Now” gave me goosebumps. Compared to the previous North American tour, “Shapes Of Things” was dropped from the set, but instead “Thugs Club”, “Going Down” and “Little Brown Bird” were included in the set. In particular, Muddy Waters’ number “Little Brown Bird” has never been played in Japan, and “Thugs Club” from “Loud Heiler” was not played on the previous US tour, so it will be the first time in Japan. In addition, different sets are prepared for each day of the Japan tour, and it is especially nice that “Blue Wind” was set in the middle of the two Tokyo shows, and “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat / Brush with the Blues” was set in the encore. In addition, as a bonus track, the sound check of all three shows on the day is also included. Including that, the three Kanto shows where you can check out Beck’s constantly evolving new modes are recorded in the best quality. Disc 1 : 01. The Revolution Will Be Televised 02. Freeway Jam 03.
