Description
A superb 2018 Jeff Beck live album featuring a cellist is born. This ultimate edition includes “Camden performance on August 4, 2018”. It is a super superb audience recording recorded at the scene. At our store, we have been reporting on famous recordings from various places since the beginning of the tour, but this work is a masterpiece that is more overwhelming than any of them. It is truly one of the “extreme” pieces. Before we talk about quality, first let’s talk about the show’s position. Let’s take a look back at an overview of our activities in 2018. ・June 8th – July 9th: Europe (19 performances) 《STARS ALIGN TOUR》 ・July 18th – August 26th: North America (27 performances) ←★Here★ Above, a total of 46 performances. The “North American” tour was organized as a joint tour “STARS ALIGN TOUR” with Paul Rodgers and Ann Wilson, and the Camden performance of this work was the 13th concert. Currently, Jeff has finished all the dates and is off, and the timing is when mania around the world is summarizing the recording. This work is a record of the latter half of the tour that jumped out of that, and it is a super recording that has surpassed everything so far. The sound is truly unparalleled. The other day, we introduced the best live album “DEFINITIVE AUSTIN 2018” that represents the tour, but it has surpassed the peak of what we expected. No, even now “DEFINITIVE AUSTIN 2018” must be a tremendously famous recording, and it would be lucky if even one was left on the tour. However, this work has an abnormal sound that even exceeds that masterpiece. How can I put this sound into words? The on and direct core has no sense of distance at all, and it’s like a sound board… No, no, this doesn’t convey it at all. The atmosphere, which has become even more transparent than the superb “DEFINITIVE AUSTIN 2018”, shines like crystal glass, and the sharp “presence” of the guitar and the bouncing bass is amazing. This is more like “the strings are trembling in front of my eyes” than “Jeff and Rhonda Smith are in front of me”. I felt as if my face was sticking out so much that my nose was almost touching Jeff’s right hand. And it’s not just Jeff and Rhonda. If Jeff is right in front of you, you can hear the bass drum and snare drum vibrating in your ears, and you can almost feel Jimmy Hall’s breath on your face. Although it is a physically impossible distance, it is a different dimension of high quality sound that envelops you from each three-dimensional direction. There are several reasons why they were able to achieve such a great sound. First of all, of course, the recording artist was amazing. This work was recorded by “boironmaiden”, a person who is attracting attention as a modern master recording artist. As his name suggests, he is known for the masterpieces of the metal band IRON MAIDEN, but his true calling lies outside of metal. Billy Joel and BLACKMORE’S NIGHT have released many famous recordings, and recently the Camden recording was very popular for Ann Wilson’s masterpiece “CLARKSTON & CAMDEN 2018” (recorded on the same day as this work) ). This work is the latest recording released by such a master on the internet. Although such a public master was sufficient, this work has been further refined with careful mastering. The atmosphere is made more transparent than the original sound, and the balance is also adjusted. We also carefully adjusted areas where the bass was too strong and pushed up. As a result, the overall range has expanded significantly, while the vividness and edge sharpness have further improved. Anyway, I would like you to listen to “Just For Fun”. In the middle, Vinny Colaiuta made a tremendous series of hits, and Ronda’s sharp and sharp bass was intertwined freely. Although it is powerful and approaching, each note stands out beautifully, and even when Vanessa Freeburn Smith’s cello is wrapped around it, the sharpness is not clouded at all. This transcendental sound is completely different from the original sound. Of course, not all recordings are capable of such upgrades. The uniqueness of the original sound happened to be suitable for mastering, and even though it was originally excellent, it became interesting and beautiful just by organizing the range. It is a miraculous piece that has been able to bring out the maximum potential of recording, which the recorder himself probably did not realize. The show drawn with that sound is also overwhelming. “DEFINITIVE AUSTIN 2018” was a full set of over 90 minutes because Paul Rodgers was absent, but on this day both Paul and Anne were present, so the time was about 70 minutes. Therefore, it is not as good as “DEFINITIVE AUSTIN 2018” in volume, but instead, the explosive tension of one song is unfolded. It is truly “deep” and packed with plenty of performances that give you a sense of “height”. In order to understand the wide range of possibilities of a new ensemble that includes cello, “DEFINITIVE AUSTIN 2018”, which has four more songs, is a masterpiece. That hasn’t changed even now. However, this work shines brightly with its concentration and the beauty of the moment. The ultimate live album, packed with depth and height rarely seen in recent years, both in terms of sound and performance.
