Description

This work is a compilation of the CD parts of the former great album “GETS THEM ALL IN THE END”. The famous edition was originally released as a three-disc set, but it was sold out due to great popularity. Of these, only 2 CDs have been restocked. Now, the 2CD that has been restocked is a recording of Jeff Beck’s appearance at the legendary event “June 1, 1986 Karuizawa Sound Market ’86”. Disc 1 has FM broadcasting, and disc 2 has audience recording. First, disk 1. It is an FM broadcast sound source that has produced many bootlegs since that time, but this work is the best quality. When the original 3-disc set “GETS THEM ALL IN THE END” was released, it received praise such as “the best sound ever” and “the clearest sound quality”, and even now they have not ceded that throne. In addition to the sound quality, the recording time is also the longest ever. In fact, “Going Down” and inter-song MC, which were not on the FM broadcast, are also supplemented from the TV broadcast, and the line recording of this day is covered. Of course, if you connect the TV sound directly to the FM sound source, it will feel strange, but by remastering the TV sound, which had a faint impression, we were able to bring it closer to the finest FM sound and successfully connect it without feeling strange. For example, “People Get Ready”, which started suddenly on all previously released CDs, can be heard naturally by connecting with Jimmy Hall’s MC “We wanna devote this song to you, all of you”. Not only does it have a large number of songs, but it is also a live album that you can listen to in a more natural way. The replacement disc 2 is an audience album that luxuriously mixes two types of audience recordings. Both tapes use master cassettes given to them by the recording artists themselves, and were praised as the “best ever” at the time of their original release. However, the secret here is that it says “at the time of release.” In fact, after that, a complete recording of even higher sound quality “SOUND MARKET ’86” appeared, and it became the second best recording. This second disc also includes the main part of the show and the collaboration with Steve Lukather, but the complete recording “SOUND MARKET ’86” also includes four songs with Santana, “Super Boogie” and “Hong Kong Blues”. It was 33 minutes long, including “People Get Ready”, “Johnny B. Goode”, MC between songs, and sound check (this is also one of the reasons why they avoided regular reissues). However, even though it is “second best”, it is still a masterpiece recording, and it is great that you can listen to “The Pump”, “Miami Vice Theme”, and “Gets Us All In The End”, which were cut in the broadcast. There was also a plan to reissue only Disc 1 of the FM sound source, which still holds its position, but then this masterpiece would disappear into the darkness. That’s too unbearable. I want as many people as possible to remember that there was another great recording. This is also the purpose of this release. “Karuizawa Sound Market ’86” was the first time Jeff Beck and Jimmy Hall appeared on stage in Japan together. In 2015, 29 years have passed since then, and the two of them stood in front of a Japanese audience again. For those 29 years, we have continued to love Jeff and his music. This long, long time has become a big part of my life, and it has also been a great happiness. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of this. I want you to savor the happiness of walking in real time with Jeff.
