Description

From the 1976 US tour, the Boston performance on October 10th was recorded completely in a super high quality audience recording for 2 hours and 7 minutes. The master tape version of the original version of the previously released version was used. It was recorded for nearly 10 minutes longer, mainly focusing on the intro/tuning and outro of the show. The 5-minute intro (including the tuning of the entire band and two announcements by the female presenter) and the 4-minute outro (including the call “We Want Beck!” from the audience) were not recorded at all in the previous release. Compared to the previous release, where the sound was modulated by excessive equalization, the difference in sound quality is clear, and the sound that the master original sound had throughout is recorded with natural, correct, and outstanding freshness. In addition, the member introduction before Darkness is also recorded for a long time (the previous release did not have an introduction of the drummer). Even in the previous release, the sound quality was so clear and wonderful that it was mistaken for a sound board recording, and it was recorded with one of the best sound quality on the 1976 tour. It is definitely a microphone recording, and the name of the recorder is now known, but it is certainly an ultra-clear sound like a line recording, with excellent separation, and an ultra-high-grade sound that does not feel any bass reverberation or muffled sound. Jeff’s guitar, of course, but also the tight drum and percussion sounds, the complex bass notes that are entangled with it, the vivid keyboard sounds, the expansive violin sounds, all of them are recorded with a sound image that cannot be imagined any more. There is little hiss noise, and even if the sound is dense, there is no muddiness or denseness, making this the definitive version of the 1976 Boston performance that can be heard with the best of the best sound. In the previous release, the middle of Freeway Jam and Goodbye Pork Pie Hat was divided by a disc break, but this edition is recorded without a break. (Instead, the main album is divided by a disc break between Goodbye Pork Pie Hat and the next song, Earth.) In the previously released version, after Earth, a high-frequency noise-like sound is constantly audible, but this take has no such problems and is recorded with a constant, natural, and best sound from start to finish. The unison of the guitar and violin in Scatterbrain and the speedy development section in the second half of the song are also recorded with great sound. The bass play in the intro to Come Dancing and the brilliant sound composition of the part where Jeff gets involved are exquisite and will have everyone listening with a sense of emotion. You can enjoy the best sound quality with She’s A Woman, a reggae-style eccentric approach, Diamond Dust, which has an exquisite performance with a delicate sound image that expresses the exquisite performance and the delicate sound image that expresses it, the funky Full Moon Boogie, which is nearly 10 minutes long, and Blue Wind, which incorporates Train Kept A Rollin’ in the middle, which is played after Jeff’s MC “I’m a rock and roll guitar player, so I can’t help but do this”. The definitive version of the Boston performance, which represents the 1976 tour, has been decided to be released.
