Jeff Beck/London, UK 1972 Reel Masters

On July 23, 1972, the final performance of the JEFF BECK GROUP at the Roundhouse in London was recorded in high quality. At that time, the cassette recording, which was supposedly recorded by a Japanese record company staff member dispatched to London, was recorded directly from a reel tape that was supposedly dubbed and stored for reference. Like the previous REEL MASTERS series, this is a valuable take that has never been sold. Photos of the reel tape and the box case with the date and venue name are published in the iner. The recording time is one hour and it is not a complete recording, and it is unfortunate that the last three songs, Got The Feeling, Let Me Love You, and Superstition, are not included, but I think that the first recording take of a historically important performance is a delight for enthusiasts. As for the sound quality, at first the high frequencies are audible, but the balance gets better and better from around Max’s piano solo, and especially from Definitely Maybe, the sound quality becomes ideal and wonderful. This performance has a high-quality, complete recording, so this is a title for enthusiasts, but the sound quality, especially in the latter half, is really great, and it is worth adding to the collection of enthusiasts.
