Description
Jeff’s 16th visit to Japan has finally begun. The first report of the superb live album is now available. This work was recorded at the first day of the tour, “January 25, 2017: Pacifico Yokohama”. This Japan tour is scheduled to have a total of 10 performances until February 7, and there was also a show at the Tokyo International Forum on January 31, when this rubbish article was published. It is the latest Odins album, recorded less than a week ago. It may be difficult to imagine it in words, so let’s take a look at the usual tour schedule.・January 25: Pacifico Yokohama [this work]・January 26: Sendai Sun Plaza・January 28: Iwate Prefectural Civic Hall・January 30 + 31: Tokyo International Forum → Now Here ←・February 2: Grand Cube Osaka・February 3: Fukuoka Sunpalace・February 4: Hiroshima Ueno Gakuen Hall・February 6: Nagoya City Public Hall・February 7: Amashin Archaic HallAs such, we are currently at the halfway point of the tour. It is unknown when the recording of Tohoku (Sendai and Iwate), which is suffering from a lack of taper, will come out, and the Tokyo International Forum is yesterday and today. This work, which is the first day, is the latest record that can be hoped for at this time. Not only is this work the latest, but the sound is also an excellent masterpiece. Several recordings of the Yokohama performance have already arrived, and it is definitely one of the best. In other words, it is “like a sound board”. Perhaps because Jeff has a discerning audience, his sound standards are one or two steps above other bands/musicians, but even when measured at that level, it is the best. It was recorded near the 10th row on the first floor, but there is no wraparound on top of the extremely close direct feeling. It is a quality that even exudes a sense of luxury. Why didn’t they press it, even though it is such a good sound? Of course, I wanted to deliver the latest Jeff sound as soon as possible, but the other reason is foreigners. In fact, there was a foreign customer near the recorder, and their cheers were mixed in a little. Of course, there is no cheering and enthusiasm like at overseas performances, but when it comes to “Jeff’s recording in Japan,” it is popular worldwide because only the performance stands out in a super dimension in the silence. What creates this is a pure mood that is taut and taut, with no sound of clothes rustling. We are still in the middle of the tour, and we hope that there will be similar transcendental recordings in the future, so we have decided to release Yokohama as soon as possible. The 2017 JEFF BECK GROUP, drawn with that quality, has a style that leads to the new work “LOUD HAILER” as expected. In addition to the songs performed, the band is accompanied by the notable female duo “BONES”, featuring vocal numbers with coquettish and cute female voices and the familiar Jimmy Hall’s hot singing voice. We have been reporting on the live album since the start of the “LOUD HAILER TOUR”, but compared to the upcoming “SEATTLE 2016”, “Shapes Of Things” is dropped, and “Thugs Club”, “Little Brown Bird”, and “Going Down” are set. Aside from “Going Down”, the Muddy Waters cover “Little Brown Bird” is rare (perhaps it’s the first time it’s been performed in Japan!?), and this day is the world premiere of the new song “Thugs Club” from “LOUD HAILER”. It was a show with a sudden surprise on the first day. Anyway, it’s the latest, fastest and best sound. And it’s a special album that even features rare songs. Now is the time to fully enjoy the “female voice + Jeff” visit to Japan, which will probably never happen again. This is the best live album for that purpose. Please enjoy it to the fullest.
