Description
“August 7, 2003 Denver performance”. This was the 11th concert of the early joint tour with B.B. King. Of course, the biggest point of this work is the unusually high quality sound. It is an audience recording that has appeared in the past, but the sound is “like a sound board” and is amazing…or rather, it should no longer be spoken of in terms of “customer recording or sound board”. The super direct, thick core, the thick sound that feels plentiful, and even the most modest whispering phrases are vivid details…everything is wonderful. It is a super recording that is far removed from the audience, but even so, the taste unique to customer recordings is perfect. The feeling of being “in front of you”. This work is an “on-site experience”. The authentic American audience further enhances the “authenticity”. Although the sound is that the super thick musical tones trample everything, there are huge applause between songs, and in fact, they cheer as if they are being fueled by Jeff’s guitar during the performance. If you write it like this, you might think that the audience is a noisy recording, but of course, that is not the case. The audience is overwhelmed by the virtuosity unfolding in front of them, and they are genuinely impressed because they like the phrases. Unlike Japanese people who lose their voice there, it is an expression of ultra-realistic emotions that are synchronized with the music and mood, so rather than feeling strange, they can sympathize. The show depicted with that sound is also a masterpiece. As mentioned in the main commentary, there is also the official album “LIVE: B.B. KING BLUES CLUB & GRILL, NEW YORK” from this tour, but “Blue Wind”, which cannot be heard on the official album, is also played (Tony Hymas is very active!). And the order of the songs is significantly different only at the beginning of the tour. Although it is the same tour / same members, the sound and the show are completely different listening experience. The polished official album “LIVE: B.B. KING BLUES CLUB & GRILL, NEW YORK” and this super-realistic on-site experience… I can’t believe that one tour has left three such diverse and super high-quality records. This is one of the pinnacles of the “GUITAR SHOP TRIO” that was released in 2003. Live at Fiddlers Green Amphitheater, Denver, CO. USA 7th August 2003 ULTIMATE SOUND (61:36) 1. Psycho Sam 2.
