Description
In addition to the GUITAR SHOP trio with Terry Bozzio and Tony Hymas, the 1995 JEFF BECK GROUP also included Pino Palladino. The best live album is now available. This work includes “August 23, 1995 Noblesville Performance”. This is an audience recording that records the whole story. Jeff, who had been silent since 1990’s “GUITAR SHOP TOUR,” toured North America for the first time in five years as a double headliner with SANTANA. It was a very unique time, with no new albums or coming to Japan. However, the inside is the best. Bozzio’s superhuman drumming is at the core, and the bass of the master Pino, who is known for his work with John Mayer and THE WHO, is also involved, and a tremendous ensemble that develops “GUITAR SHOP” explodes. It is also very popular among enthusiasts. This work is the 18th live album of such North American tour. Even the bootleg is valuable because it is a special time that can be called a hidden treasure, but this work is of the highest quality that blows away even that preciousness. It’s a master who was discovered in recent years, but it’s on and super vivid! The powerful core jumps into your ears without any sense of distance, and the details are super clear, from the picking nuances of the guitar to the vibe of the bass. What’s even more amazing is the three-dimensional effect. The various sounds of improvisation with clear outlines are connected like a thread, but even when the threads are intricately intertwined, they never mix or fray. Even when concentrating on each thread one by one, just like twilling, the taut tension is dignified, and the whole creates a beautiful three-dimensional image. Although it is an audience recording that realistically absorbed the audience’s enthusiasm, this clarity is outside the common sense of guest records. The key point is probably the venue. The venue, Deer Creek Music Center (now Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center), is the largest outdoor music space in Indianapolis. As a result, there are no walls or ceilings to reflect the sound, and the output sound is directly picked up as if it were flying up into the sky. Of course, outdoor recording has the disadvantage that the sound tends to be carried away by the wind, but this work does not have that worry. The space is crystal clear, as if there is no air, and there is nothing swaying other than the vibe of the music. The show depicted with that sound is the precious and exquisite world of 1995. For these members, the core of the set is the “GUITAR SHOP.” Not only “Where Were You” and “Big Block” which have become standard since then, but also plenty of “Stand On It” and “Guitar Shop” from this tour. Seven of the album’s nine songs have been sold in large quantities. What’s even more special is the opening. Although it is a magnificent masterpiece, the non-album song “Hurricane”, which was only on this tour, will also be played. Six years after “GUITAR SHOP”, JEFF BECKB GROUP suddenly showed an evolved form in 1995. This is a masterpiece of a live album that allows you to fully experience a precious moment with the finest clear sound that can only be achieved outdoors.
