Description

The first Jeff Beck Group’s live performance on August 13th, the final day of the “7th National Jazz And Blues Festival” held for three consecutive days at the Royal Windsor Racecourse in 1967, was recorded with a truly high-quality audience recording that was good enough for the time. Although the recording time is short at 21 minutes for a total of five songs, the original Jeff Beck Group, featuring drummer Aynsley Dunbar, is tight and full of intense groove, and is recorded with stable high sound quality. The sound source that appeared as a digitalized take of a copy of the second generation tape to DAT, perhaps recorded right in front of the PA? The direct feeling of the sound, yet the clear sound without any distortion or cracking, is overwhelming, and the amazing dynamic sound with excellent separation reproduces the precious show. A first-class super sound source take. The final day of the three-day festival featured not only Jeff Beck Group, but also Cream, Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall, Donovan and others, making it a very exciting day. The 1968 Fillmore West line recording with the highest sound quality and the best live recordings from the first Jeff Beck Group are undoubtedly a must-listen set for all Beck fans, and are sure to become a staple in the future. 7th National Jazz And Blues Festival, Royal Windsor Racecourse, Windsor, Berkshire, UK 13th August 1967 TRULY AMAZING SOUND (21:05) 1.
