Description

THE JAM in 1982, who had sent their final work “THE GIFT” to No. 1 in the UK and were running towards the end. The soundboard album will be released simultaneously as two titles with the highest peak master by an overseas researcher. This work is the second of such two consecutive releases. It is a stereo soundboard recording of the “May 20, 1982 Boston performance”. Although the two works released at the same time are the same “TRANS GLOBAL EXPRESS Tour”, the legs are different. Let’s first check the positional relationship of each from the overall activity view, including the official video “TRANS GLOBAL UNITY EXPRESS”, which is a symbol of the entire tour.・February 24th + 27th: London (2 performances) {March 12th “THE GIFT” released} ・March 12th – April 8th: UK #1 (25 performances) ←※ Official video ・April 16th – 30th: Europe (11 performances) ←※ NIJMEGEN 1982 ・May 14th – June 5th: North America (15 performances) ←★ Here ★ ・June 11th – 17th: Japan (5 performances) {September 6th single “The Bitterest Pill” released} ・September 20th – October 12th: UK #2 (14 performances) {October 30th: Disbandment announcement} ・November 5th – December 11th: UK #3 (15 performances) {December: THE JAM disbanded} This is the journey from the release of “THE GIFT” to the disbandment. The last performance in Japan is also memorable, but the Boston performance of this work was about one month before that. This was the sixth concert of the “North American” leg across the ocean. The official “TRANS GLOBAL UNITY EXPRESS” is the opening “UK #1”, the simultaneously released “NIJMEGEN 1982 SOUNDBOARD” is “Europe”, and this work is “North America”. It forms the appearance of a trilogy representing each leg. This show was broadcast on the radio and is a classic among classics that have been known for a long time. This work is the same FM soundboard, but it is the highest peak update. The quality is so-called “completely official class”. The simultaneously released “NIJMEGEN 1982” had a somewhat wild sound image due to the liveliness of the broadcast, but this work is exquisitely mixed and extremely fresh. The previous master had a glimpse of dubbing marks and instability due to reception conditions, but this work has no such deterioration. Although the broadcast-like feel remains in the program DJ and cheer volume, the essential performance sounds and vocals are not inferior to the official work. The sound is lustrous and beautiful, and the three-dimensional feel of each sound and the vivid separation of each sound exceed the level of broadcasting. Such an official masterpiece-class sound depicts the live performance of the final North American tour. As mentioned above, this work forms a trilogy with the official “TRANS GLOBAL UNITY EXPRESS” and the Uxbridge “NIJMEGEN 1982 SOUNDBOARD”, but the songs included in each are very different. Let’s organize the set of this work while comparing it with the good work. The Gift (5 songs) Circus (★*) / Carnation (*) / Town Called Malice / Ghosts / The Gift Single (3 songs) Tales From the Riverbank (★) / Move On Up / When You’re Young (★) Others (6 songs) Sound Affects: Start! (★*) / Pretty Green / That’s Entertainment (★) Others: In The Crowd (★) / David Watts (★*) / Private Hell *Note: The “★” mark indicates the official video “TRANS GLOBAL UNITY EXPRESS”, and the “*” mark indicates a song that cannot be heard in the simultaneously released “NIJMEGEN 1982 SOUNDBOARD”. …And so on. The beginning and end of this work also include interviews, and the pure live part is 14 songs and 44 minutes in total. Although it is far from a full show, the essence of the “TRANS GLOBAL EXPRESS Tour” is still condensed into the size of one LP. In particular, “Circus” and “David Watts” were numbers that could not be heard not only in the above two works but also in the official live album “DIG THE NEW BREED”. The pleasure of enjoying it on a completely official soundboard is irreplaceable. After finishing the “TRANS GLOBAL EXPRESS Tour” in Japan, THE JAM went to eternal sleep after “UK #2” with the single “The Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had to Swallow)” and “UK #3” after the announcement of disbandment. This work is a soundboard album that allows you to enjoy the last tour they reached with the best sound. The highest peak update master that researchers have stamped as “This is the best!”. Stereo soundboard recording of “Boston performance on May 20, 1982”. The highest peak update master provided by overseas researchers, its quality is so-called “completely official class”. You can enjoy plenty of repertoire that can’t be heard on the official albums “DIG THE NEW BREED” and “TRANS GLOBAL UNITY EXPRESS”, such as “Circus”, “Tales From the Riverbank”, “When You’re Young”, and “David Watts”.
