~ High-quality stereo audience recording of the local New York CBGB performance of James Chance’s Contortions in 1978! ~February 4, 1978, when the masterpiece compilation album “No New York” capturing the deepest parts of the New York underground at the end of the 1970s was released, a high-quality stereo recording of the live performance held at the famous CBGB in New York. A treasured sound source recorded in an audience recording is now available! It is recorded directly from the master tape, and has a wide range and good balance for each part, making it a high-class sound quality for that time. This day was the final day of a three-day series of performances by three bands, SUICIDE and Fleshtones, and was divided into two stages, including “Dish It Out” from “No New York”. The setlist was centered around numbers from their debut album “BUY” released the following year, each lasting about 40 minutes, making for a generous performance of over 79 minutes!
