Description
James Brown’s Olympia Theater in 1967 has already been released, but this time, the CD has been made as close to the full-length version as possible by adding the previously unreleased That’s The Man’s World (ripped from the I Got The Feelin’ DVD), and the black and white video of the Olympia Theater live performance has been recorded on DVD at the longest existing length of 80 minutes (some parts without images have been edited out). The video of That’s The Man’s World has not been replaced from the I Got The Feelin’ DVD, but has been recorded from the original video. I wondered why JB’s voice became distant during James Brown’s drum solo and Prisoner Of Love, but in fact he was singing away from the microphone (the fact that his voice still carried through means that his voice was amazing), and there are many discoveries that can only be made from the video. The highlights of Cold Sweat are when Maceo and JB call out to play, and the mantle show in Please, Please, Please. In any case, please enjoy JB at his peak in the longest video.
