Description
In his later years, Jaco was performing irregularly, mainly playing small club gigs in the United States as a trio, but this show at a jazz club in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 20, 1986 was recorded in its entirety over the course of 1 hour and 43 minutes, with the latest digital remastering and a good audience master that was recently unearthed. Especially during this period, he did not come to Japan, and it was a blank period of time, with only some eccentricities being conveyed, so it was revealed that he was playing such a wonderful performance. In particular, his partner Hiram Bullock’s guitar playing, which shows off his technique in every direction, is like an evolution of Jimi Hendrix, and in fact, “POWER OF SOUL” and “PURPLE HAZE” are reminiscent of the Experience. In any case, Jaco was in a terrible state in private, but here he plays a hyper performance that can be called punk jazz, and since there are only a few recordings from his final years, this is a must-listen item for fans.
