A complete recording of the valuable live performance held in Salzburg, Austria in March from Jaco Pastorius’s 1986 trio European tour with Bireli Lagrene. This tour, which was held at the end of Jaco’s career, was officially released in various forms after Jaco’s death, and it has become clear that it was a fulfilling performance that overturned the public’s reputation up to that point. However, this work is a valuable item that reveals the whole picture through video. The video itself is a rough audience shot that feels old, but the trio’s appearance is captured in a large size with very stable camera work, and the sound quality is excellent thanks to the acoustics of the small venue. Be sure to check out the ever-changing guitar playing of Bireli Lagrene, who was heralded as the “return of Django,” and fans will definitely want to see Jaco having fun playing a variety of songs unique to this period.
