J.R. Monterose/NY,USA 1978

J.R. Monterose, a dynamic tenor who is very popular in Japan, performed a one-hour and 19-minute live performance with a one-horn quartet in 1978 at the famous lounge “Lark Tavern” in Albany, New York. An extremely rare live performance recorded from the unreleased sound source has been released. The official version of this CD’s live performance at the same lounge the following year has already been released as “Live in Albany” and has been very well received by jazz fans. However, the 1978 live is a very valuable live sound source that will appear for the first time this time. Naturally, the songs played and recorded on that day are also completely different, and this 1978 live has more attractive songs as a jazz fan.
