Description
Last year, the strongest greatest hits tour in history “LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR” shocked metal heads around the world. The second half of the tour, the 2019 Americas tour, has begun. The first report, the best video, is now available. This work was filmed at “Bristol performance on July 24, 2019.” It is a 2-disc set with two types of audience shots arranged on each disc. Last year, I reported on many masterpieces, but the main one was recording. Even though the title included a video, the main focus was on the live album. However, this work is undoubtedly a masterpiece of visuals. In the first place, “LEGACY OF THE BEAST TOUR” is more than just a luxurious set list, but the many elaborate mechanisms in each song are also important, so this work where you can witness it is truly a long-awaited work. Before such shocking quality, first of all is the position of the show. This time is also the first part of the tour restart, so let’s take a look at the overall view of “LEGACY OF THE BEAST TOUR”. ●2018, May 26th – July 28th: Europe (31 performances), July 31st – August 11th: UK (7 performances) ●2019, July 18th – September 25th: North America (35 performances) ←★Coco★・September 27-30: Mexico (3 performances)・October 4-15: South America (6 performances) This is the schedule announced so far. There are reports that they will “come to Japan in 2020”, but it is still unclear whether it will be the “LEGACY OF THE BEAST TOUR” or a tour in conjunction with a new work. Under such circumstances, the Bristol performance of this work was the 4th concert of the “North American” leg, which is the beginning of the 2019 edition. Now, this work is the first report of the resumption of the tour, but as mentioned above, it is set with two superb audience shots. First of all, “Recorder 1” recorded on Disc 1 is a super close-up spectacular view! Almost in the front row, right in front of the stage. The scene seems to be all standing, and technically they may be in second or third place, but there is no difference there. There’s a camera pit and security right in front of you, and you don’t even need to zoom in to see Bruce Dickinson jumping up and down!! “Aces High” is so powerful that the Spitfire is so close that it’s completely directly above you. …(I thought I might get caught in the propeller). What’s more, even though I was in the front row, where it could have been chaotic, I was surprised to find that it was stable and easy to see. There were some front row shots last year as well, but they were only for individual songs. I never expected that a video would appear that would give you the full experience of being in the front row with a sense of stability. The following disc 2 “Recorder 2” is also excellent. This photo was taken from a stand seat slightly to the left, but the spectacle that takes advantage of this is exquisite. In fact, “Recorder 1” was so close that it was difficult to see the full extent of the large number of contraptions, and the screen image was too slanted, making it difficult to see (well, the front view more than makes up for it). In contrast, in this work, you can clearly see the various mechanisms even when you look directly at the stage, and when you project it on the screen, it is beautiful with no distortion. Also, the sound is also important. “Recorder 1” also had a clear and powerful sound that could only be found in the front row, but this one is even more beautiful, even down to its symmetry. “Jiffy Roubaix Live”, where the event took place, is a semi-outdoor venue with a wide open rear, and as a result, there is extremely little echo of the sound. You can fully enjoy that clear sound. It’s a shot of a spectacular view that looks like it’s in the best picture, but the show you can watch from that special seat is truly the ultimate greatest hits. In recent years, IRON MAIDEN has held world tours in two stages over the years, with the set changing slightly between the first half and the second half. I was hoping that there would be some changes this time, but when I opened the lid, it was completely the same as last year. Well, since props and props were used for each song, it probably wasn’t easy to switch songs so often. In any case, the fact that it hasn’t changed means that it’s definitely a great greatest hits. This is a good opportunity to organize the set easily. Live at Jiffy Lube Live, Bristow, VA, USA 24th July 2019 AMAZING SHOTS!! ●Diano era (1 song) Iron Maiden ●Mark of Magic (3 songs)・The Number of the Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Run to the Hills ● Brain Reform (4 songs)・Where Eagles Dare, The Trooper, Revelations, Flight of Icarus ●Powerslave (2 songs)・Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight ●The Seventh Prophecy (1 song)・The Evil That Men Do ●Fear of the Dark (1 song)・Fear of the Dark ●Blaze era (2 songs)・Sign of the Cross, The Clansman ●After 6 members (2 songs)・The Wicker Man, For the Greater Good of God…and it looks like this. Although there is a bias towards “The Mark of Magic”, “Brain Reform”, and “Power Slave” in the early Dickinson era, on the other hand, there is a tremendous breadth of work, including the great song “For the Greater Good of God” from “Senki.” It’s a masterpiece rush that makes the face of a big name that continues to be a great success until the present day. Considering that there was no replacement even after the tour restarted, this may be the ultimate set list for Steve Harris. IRON MAIDEN has broken the conventions of recent years and maintained the ultimate set. Furthermore, it is a superb video that will make you dream of breaking convention and bringing this set to Japan next year. This is a masterpiece where you can fully experience MAIDEN’s strongest greatest hits from two special seats, as well as the first news of the resumption of the tour. Disc 1(110:37) Recorder 1 1.
