Description
Iron Maiden will take to the stage at Donington this weekend for their fifth time as headliners. This album, along with the release of “Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son”, includes all currently available soundboard sound sources from the August 20th, 1988 stage when Maiden first appeared on the Monsters of Rock stage in Donington. This is what was recorded. The original is an out-of-print official version, so needless to say the sound quality is perfect. At that time, it was also broadcast on the radio in the UK on the BBC Friday Rock Show, but the master sound source was released in 2002 at “BBC Archives”. The perfect sound source of this day, recorded in tracks 7-14 of Disc 2, has been remastered flashy, but it is still impressive. The last three songs include line recordings of The Clairvoyant, The Prisoner, and Heaven Can Wait that have not yet been recorded in the BBC Archives. This was released as a CD single in November 1988, and compared to the “BBC Archives” take, it has a high-quality sound board sound with a natural sound image that does not raise the sound pressure too much and is typical of mixes from this period. The world’s strongest heavy metal monster band “Iron Maiden” from England, who have performed on legendary stages at Donington in 1988, 1992, 2003, 2007, and this year in 2013, will perform for the first time in Monsters of the World. Rock stage. In addition to Tori Maiden, the lineup included Kiss, Dave Lee Roth, Guns N’ Roses, Megadeth, and Halloween, making for an extremely strong lineup of 100,000 people, which exceeded the organizers’ expectations, and two people in the audience were reportedly crushed to death. Monsters of Rock in 1988 was a tragedy. Please enjoy Maiden’s legendary stage at Donington in 1988, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, with the highest sound quality.
