Description
In 1979, when Tony Parsons and Doug Sampson were present, there were a total of three stage records. Therefore, we have prepared a title that allows you to complete that collection at once. There are two performances included in this work. “Music Machine Performance on September 10, 1979” and “Ruskin Arms Performance on October 5, 1979”. Both are vintage audiences that have been known for a long time, but this work is a set of the highest peak masters. It’s a definitive album full of famous songs. Now, let’s introduce each disc individually. [Disc 1: Music Machine Performance, September 10, 1979] The first thing that appears is an audience recording that has long been famous as “MUSIC MACHINE of 1979”. What flows out of this work is a vintage sound that makes you feel choked with a historical mood. The musical tone is clear and comfortable. Since it has been representing 1979 for a long time, there are various versions on the market, such as remasters by maniacs, but this work includes the longest and best-sounding version of “THE EARLIEST DAYS 1979”. The live performance with that sound is delicious with 3 songs + Dave Murray’s guitar solo. Moreover, those three songs are “Another Life,” “Innocent Exile,” and “Drifter.” Since the Parsons & Sampson era, he had already played a large number of “KILLERS” numbers. [Disc 2: Ruskin Arms performance on October 5, 1979] Disc 2 is an audience recording taken 5 days after the main press CD. This is also a famous recording for a long time, but the master used in this work has appeared only recently. This is the highest version that was directly digitized from the 1st Gene Cassette discovered by the prestigious “Krw_co”. The sound is really fresh. “THE EARLIEST DAYS 1979”, which I introduced previously, also used a carefully selected master, so it was not a major upgrade, and the recording remained a little louder. However, you can definitely feel the freshness that is unique to the 1st generation, and this work is the best in terms of the clarity of the atmosphere. Originally it was a delicious recording with a powerful and thick core, but the power sound is vividly transmitted down to the details. And this disc is also the longest record of “IRON MAIDEN of the 1970s”. You can also listen to “The Ides Of March,” “Strange World,” and “I’ve Got The Fire” which are longer than Disc 1. Especially since “Strange World” is included, all songs from the debut work “Maiden of Steel” are covered. It can be enjoyed as a valuable member of the famous album and a developing version. Another point is that “The Ides Of March” is featured from this period. It’s a song that former member Thunderstick brought to SAMSON and released under the name “Thunderburst” first, but SAMSON had been performing it live even before it was released (June 1980). This is also historical evidence. Even more valuable than that is Parsons’ guitar solo. On Disc 1, Murray took the solo immediately after “Innocent Exile,” but in this work, Parsons plays the solo first, and then it is a solo battle where Murray takes over. IRON MAIDEN’s solo time is already rare, but Parsons’ solo is truly unique to this work, and is a super valuable scene that can only be found here. IRON MAIDEN was released in 1979, when all the songs for “Maiden of Steel,” which turned history upside down, were available, but production had not yet begun. This is a set that allows you to complete the highest peak of such valuable stage records all at once.
