As mentioned in the previous commentary, the concert-spec “London Stadium” has an enormous capacity of about 80,000 people, which is about 1.5 times the capacity of the Tokyo Dome, which has a capacity of 55,000 people. Of course, IRON MAIDEN has been the headliner at many huge festivals, but this is the largest solo performance ever to attract people with their own signboard. It’s not just a lot of people, but it’s an incredible scene where all 80,000 people rush to see IRON MAIDEN. The pro-shot screen shots and the sound that roars directly from the PA in front of you are both superb. In fact, it is the most powerful piece of “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES Tour” footage to date, and it doesn’t matter which venue it is (for now), it’s the No. 1 champion video of the tour. Such a work is also a masterpiece that can be said to be a blessing in disguise (?). The shooting position was a stand seat on the right side of the stage (Janick Gers side), with a view down to the hustle and bustle of the arena. That was fine, but the (big) problem was that the PA was hanging between my eyes. Because the PA was hanging from above, it was fine for looking directly at the stage below, but it was a huge obstacle to seeing the giant screen that followed. I couldn’t see the much-talked-about video production. Normally, I would have given up on filming, saying “This seat is no good,” but the cameraman for this work was different. Instead of giving up on the giant screen behind him, he started filming the monitor on the side of the stage. And what was shown there was a multi-camera professional shot! You could see plenty of powerful images, including close-ups of each member’s facial expressions! The sound was also of the highest quality, depicting the 50th anniversary’s super-rich greatest hits. Once the flaws in the view were resolved, the benefits of the position came into play all at once. It was a sound with a lot of directness. As mentioned above, a PA was hanging in front of the cameraman, and it was emitting a very thick sound towards me. Moreover, since the “London Stadium” is open wide to the sky, there is almost no echo, and you can directly enjoy the sound that reaches you without any obstructions.
