Description
IRON MAIDEN in the 21st century has been performing in Japan every time they release an album. The only exception to this was “THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR”. Here is a superb live album that will clear up such regrets. Six years ago, MAIDEN also visited Japan on this tour. However, that was the day of the Great East Japan Earthquake. When they arrived in Japan, which was literally hit by a “tremor”, they could not even get off ED FORCE ONE, and the performance in Japan was canceled. At that time, Japanese people could not even realize the unprecedented disaster, and were stunned by the news that came in one after another, saying, “I wonder if the live tomorrow will be okay,” “What? Saitama Super Arena is a shelter!?”, “The tsunami is about Tohoku, right…” I’m sure there are many people who still remember that day vividly. And so “IRON MAIDEN in 2011” ended up being an illusion. Originally, we would have been able to enjoy not only the live performance but also the Japanese recording… This work is one that will calm such a heart. It is a superb audience album of “February 11, 2011 Moscow performance”. First of all, let’s understand the position from the whole picture of “THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR 2010-2011”. [2010 Edition] June 9-July 20: North America #1 (25 performances) July 30-August 21: Europe #1 (11 performances) [2011 Edition] February 11: Russia (1 performance) [This work] February 15-March 10: Asia/Oceania (11 performances) March 12+13: Japan *Cancelled due to the Great East Japan Earthquake March 17-April 17: South America/North America #2 (15 performances) May 28-August 6: Europe #2 (35 performances) In recent years, MAIDEN has been customary to divide their tours into two parts over a two-year period. This work is a live album containing the first day of the second part, the “2011 Edition”. As mentioned above, this is exactly one month before the Japan performance, and is a masterpiece recording that will be the representative work of the “2011 Edition + Japan Pre-” part. The quality is truly superb. In fact, there are a lot of great recordings in Australia, but this recording is known for being “soundboard-like”. The rough-rope-like musical tones approach with a fierce direct feeling, and yet the sound is lustrous and the details are clear. Bruce Dickinson’s singing voice stands out as if it was directly connected to the microphone, and Steve Harris’s crisp bass is beautiful down to each note. The triple guitar, which tends to get clumpy if you’re not careful, is also firmly separated. In addition, the cheers create a “soundboard feel”. IRON MAIDEN’s show is a big chorus, but the chanting spreads far beyond the thick musical tones. The recording position is unknown, but the performance and singing are recorded so strongly that it seems as if the staff on stage recorded it. Even though it’s so soundboard-like, this work is a 100% audience recording of the real thing. Aside from the huge sense of scale, the subtle “sound” creates a feeling of being on-site, making you feel like “I’m watching IRON MAIDEN now”. “THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR” that you should have experienced in real life. The Japanese recording that you should have listened to by now. It has become an impossible dream, but this is a masterpiece that lets you experience that “original” and “what if”. Although “EN VIVO!” is also officially left, this has a different feeling of real life and an innocent happiness that does not know the tragedy. A masterpiece that allows you to immerse yourself in such a scene with high-quality sound. Live at Olympiyski, Moscow, Russia 11th February 2011 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 1.
