This is a fantastic soundboard recording of a live performance by New Orleans soul queen Irma Thomas and The Las Vegas Connection on December 26, 1977 in her hometown of Louisiana, recorded digitally directly from a radio air-check tape. Irma had hits in the 60s when she met Alan Taussan and was provided with classics such as “It’s Rainin'” and “Ruler Of My Heart.” This live performance includes covers of The Emotions’ “Don’t Ask My Neighbor” and Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” giving a summary of the first half of her career.
