Description
A killer item has arrived: a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the New York performance from the “North American Tour 1987”! This killer item features a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the live performance held on April 5, 1987, at “Club 1018,” located at the intersection of 515 West 18th Street and 10th Avenue in Manhattan’s Chelsea Warehouse district, as part of the “North American Tour 1987” following the release of their eighth album, “Blah Bluh Bluh.” The recording was taken from a broadcast audio source aired on local FM station WXRK-FM and has been digitally transferred directly from the airchecked cassette master, resulting in a clear sound quality with impeccable mix and balance. The rough mix is amplified, allowing you to enjoy the superb sound quality! Furthermore, pitch deviations caused by the master have been carefully corrected. Only four tracks from this performance were included in the “ROADKILL RISING” box set released in 2011, but this release includes all 17 tracks uncut. This live performance took place about three weeks before their second Japan tour, featuring Kevin Armstrong on guitar, Seamus Begen on keyboards and guitar, Andy Anderson on drums, and Hill Butcher on bass. The band opened with a barrage of Stooges numbers, including “Five Foot One” from their 1979 album “New Values”! Unlike the hard rock-oriented sound of their tour the following year, this performance featured Seamus Begen’s keyboards soaring through the air, including tracks from “Blah Bluh Bluh,” and the overall tempo-up arrangements resulted in a tight and electrifying performance!
