A treasured sound source that includes a good stereo audience recording of Hollywood performances from the 1981 “Follow the Sun Tour” immediately after the release of “Party”! A treasured sound source that includes a good stereo audience recording of the live performance held at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California on November 20, 1981, just after the release of his 6th solo album “Party” is now available! The sound source was digitally transferred directly from the cassette master and recorded with the latest remastering, and although the sound image is a little distant, the range is wide and the sound quality is reasonably good for that time. The “Follow the Sun Tour”, which started in October after completing a North American tour until September, features “Party” recording member Michael Page on bass, Douglas Brown on drums, Rob Dupree & Gary Valentine is on guitar, and Carlos Alomar is on guitar in place of Richard Sole, who had participated in the previous tour. It is a shame that it is not a complete recording as it was recorded from the latter half of 1969, but it is a set list unique to this tour, featuring 3 songs from the then new album “Party” and 2 songs from the previous album “Soldier”, and 3 guitars. A killer item that vividly records the audience getting excited about Iggy going wild with the heavy sound of loud and intersecting sounds!
