Former New York Dolls/Heartbreakers drummer Jerry Nolan teamed up with Steve Dior and Barry Jones to form Idols, which later evolved into the London Cowboys. The band’s first bassist was former New York Dolls member Arthur Kane, and they were also known for backing Sid Vicious’ solo live shows. They were a short-lived phantom band with only one single released, with very few recordings. A live recording without Arthur has already been released on the same label as “TAKE A CHANCE ON ME”, but finally a live performance with Arthur Kane will be released for the first time!!! A gig held on October 6th, 1978 at two stages in their hometown of Max Kansas City has been recorded in full from a high-quality mono audience master!!! Although it is mono, it is recorded with very clear and perfectly balanced high-quality sound!!! They play not only the two singles, but also “Centerfold” which was later performed by London Cowboys, “Take A Chance” written by Jerry and familiar as a solo single and by the Heartbreakers, and its coupling number “Pretty Baby”, as well as covers and unreleased originals!!! And Chris Spedding joins in for the last song of the second set, “Can’t Sit Down”!!! This is a highly recommended album!!!
