Herbie Hancock/France 2025 FM Broadcast Edition

This is Herbie Hancock’s latest live recording (early August 2025). It was recorded at the Marciac Jazz Festival in France, and the master was a digital broadcast of a local radio broadcast. While the overall sound quality is excellent, there are some overlapping French DJ talk segments, particularly during Herbie’s speech, which sounds like an interpreter. While the label typically cuts out such segments, we had to cut out a few parts of the song, so we decided against it. This release delivers the authentic feel of the live broadcast. The quintet is a regular addition to Hancock’s lineup in recent years, and the lineup features a guitarist with no saxophone player.
