Description

The Heartbreakers, whose energetic activities included a remix of “L.A.M.F.” and a Lyceum reunion gig that later resulted in a live album and video release, are now available. This rare item features a high-quality stereo audience recording of a live performance at The Bitter End in New York City on August 27, 1984! The sound quality is exceptionally clear for the time, with a wide range and excellent balance throughout. While a portion of the first set from this performance was previously included on the same label’s “THE PALAIS 1984,” this release marks the first release of the complete set, including the second set. The setlist includes a rare lineup of the Heartbreakers without Johnny, as well as rare tracks like “Busted” and “Party Lights” by Walter’s band, The Waldos. And, best of all, Jerry Nolan contributes guitar and vocals on three tracks, including “Take A Chance With Me,” which also became a solo single! They played “Take A Chance With Me” twice in the first set, with Walter on vocals on the first take and Jerry, the composer, on vocals on the second take. 1st Set 01. Pipeline 02.
