Description

HEART has resumed activities for the first time in three years. The latest live album, which is the first report, is now available. This work includes “Camden performance on August 2, 2019”. This is the best audience recording that tells the whole story. HEART’s activities were suspended in the fall of 2016. In August of that year, Ann Wilson’s husband was arrested for assaulting Nancy’s twin sons. Although the details have not been made public due to family issues, since then Anne has been doing solo activities, and Nancy has been doing individual activities with ROADCASE ROYALE. Three years have passed since that incident. HEART reunited after appearing at a benefit performance in March 2019 under the name “ANN & NANCY WILSON”. A US tour “LOVE ALIVE 2019 TOUR” will be held in the summer. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the overall picture of the latest tour.・March 7th: Sisters perform at “LOVE ROCKS NYC” ・July 9th-August 19th: North America #1a (27 performances)←★Here★ >>Now Here<<・August 20th-9th September 9th: North America #1b (13 performances) September 20th – October 13th: North America #2 (13 performances) This is the total of 53 performances announced so far. We have now reached the halfway point after 27 performances. This tour was supported by Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlyle, Lucy Silvas, etc. on a daily basis, and the Camden performance of this work was the 16th concert with Joan Jett & THE BLACKHEARTS and Elle King. This work recorded at such a show is truly an exquisite audience recording. The best thing about it is its neat sound and powerful core. Although it absorbs a slight hall sound, it gives power and dynamism to the performance. The core reaches straight, and the sound complements the response of the midrange and the power of deep bass. Of course, if that became a sense of distance, it would be unreasonable, but this work is different. Because the core is so thick and on, the core first flies into the ear, and from there the ringing rises like an aura. Furthermore, the audience’s breath is also wonderful. Immediately after the performance begins, you can hear a little cheering, but once the show begins, it becomes quiet, and only the spectacle spreading in the vast “BB&T Pavilion” can be captured deliciously. A big chorus occurs around the second song “Magic Man”, but even that is faint and blends perfectly with Ann’s hall sound. Although it is thick, the core can be heard clearly down to the details, and you can enjoy it at the breathing level…It is such a wonderful sound. What is depicted with such quality is a treasure chest of famous songs centered around the late 70’s. Since this is also the first report of the tour, let’s summarize the contents of the show here. ●DREAMBOAT ANNIE (2 songs)・Magic Man, Crazy on You ●LITTLE QUEEN (3 songs)・Love Alive, Little Queen, Barracuda ●DOG & BUTTERFLY (3 songs)・Straight On, Dog & Butterfly, Mistral Wind ●BEBE LE STRANGE (2 songs)・Rockin’ Heaven Down, Even It Up ●HEART (2 songs)・These Dreams, What About Love ●Others (4 songs)・Alone (BAD ANIMALS), Your Move (YES cover), The Boxer ( SIMON & GARFUNKEL cover), Stairway to Heaven (LED ZEPPELIN cover)… and so on. They play plenty of their signature songs up to “BEBE LE STRANGE”, and intersperse them with “These Dreams”, “What About Love”, and “Alone” from their breakout era. Moreover, it is not just the greatest hits, but “Rockin’ Heaven Down”, which is the first time in 36 years since the performance started, will pop out, and “Little Queen” will also be performed for the first time in a while. What’s even more delicious is the cover. “Stairway to Heaven” is selected as the promised ZEP number, and you can also listen to unexpected song selections such as “The Boxer” by Simon & Garfunkel and “Your Move” by YES. “Your Move” became a hot topic during Ann’s solo tour last year, and it was carried over to HEART as well. Moreover, this is really wonderful. “The Boxer” has the sisters’ singing voices blending beautifully, and “Your Move” is also perfect for Ann, as the original singer, John Anderson, has an angelic voice. In fact, it’s even more powerful than the original, and it’s wonderfully addictive, just like ZEP. I would really like to see other YES numbers covered as well. “LOVE ALIVE 2019 TOUR” is a US tour that is revived after three years. It is a masterpiece of a live album where you can enjoy the whole story with the best sound. For three years, they were separated due to family issues that had nothing to do with them. A book that makes you forget that barren time and fills you with the joy of an encounter. Live at BB&T Pavillion, Camden, NJ, USA 2nd August 2019 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1(41:07) 1.
