Description
HEART made a huge leap forward in 1978 with the huge hit of “LITTLE QUEEN”. A shocking video that allows you to witness the scene is now available. This work was filmed on “January 1, 1978 + December 5, Fresno performance”. This is the audience shot. Last year, a large amount of 70’s Fresno footage of various bands was unearthed, and it’s still shocking collectors around the world. In our store, we introduced EL&P, AEROSMITH, and VAN HALEN (78 edition) as the first part, but this week we will also introduce VAN HALEN (79 edition), AC/DC, UFO, BLUE OYSTER CULT, and DEF LEPPARD. . This work is the HEART edition of such a series. What is shocking is the strong quality, but first of all, the position of the show. In particular, this work consists of two performances, so let’s look back at the schedule at that time.・January 1st + 2nd: North America #1 (2 performances) ←★Main story★ ・March 10th – April 2nd: North America #2 (5 performances)《Official version of MAGAZINE released on April 22nd》・June 11 – July 1: North America #3 (17 performances) August 12 – September 4: North America #4 (9 performances) September 26 – October 6: North America #5a ( 6 performances)《“DOG & BUTTERFLY” released on October 7th》・October 7th-22nd: North America #5b (14 performances)・November 15th-December 31st: North America #6 (22 performances)← ★Bonus★ This is HEART in 1978. Following the success of “LITTLE QUEEN”, the regular edition of “MAGAZINE” and “DOG & BUTTERFLY” were released in quick succession, but the Fresno performance of this work is the first and final edition. The main performance is the “January 1st” performance on New Year’s Day, and as a bonus, three songs from the “December 5th” performance, the 16th performance of the year-end “North America #6″, are additionally included. Also, speaking of Fresno in 1978, the FM sound board that is said to be “May 12th” has become a standard, but it is also now said to be “actually December 5th?” In any case, this work, which was born from those two performances, is one of the best in the shocking series. The characteristics of the series as a whole are repetitive, so I’ll leave it to the explanation of other works, but this work has beautiful visuals and audio. First of all, the main “January 1st” performance is captured from a diagonal angle from the right side of the stage (Nancy side), but the only angles are left and right. Perhaps because it is a stand seat, there is no vertical angle, and the image is captured at the same eye level as the members on stage. There are no obstructions on top of it. At that time, the lighting was darker than it is now, but all you could see was the stage. There are no shadows passing in front of the camera, and the audience in the arena cannot be seen. Even the single grain of glitter sewn into Ann’s costume is sparkling and beautiful, and you can completely immerse yourself in the image of HEART. And the sound is also excellent. As mentioned above, it is a different day from the standard sound board, but its quality is like FM broadcasting. Ann’s singing voice flows into your ears with almost no sense of distance, Nancy and Roger Fisher’s guitar work is extremely clear, and Michael DeRosier’s snare is also full of density. This sound is one of the best in the Fresno series. I was surprised twice because such quality remains the same even in the “December 5th” performance, which was recorded as a bonus. What is especially surprising is how perfectly the angles match. As expected, it is a direct shot from the right side of the stage, and the eye level is the same. They are so similar that you can barely tell them apart from other performances due to the extravagant stage sets and costumes. There’s no doubt that this series was shot by the same photographer, but it still doesn’t make sense that even the positions are the same. Currently, collectors are whispering that “this series may have been shot by someone involved,” and this may be true, both in terms of quality and angle. HEART was at its peak in the 1970s, releasing a series of platinum albums. This is a video work that allows you to experience that brilliance on-site in the highest quality. The Fresno series is full of shocking works, but this is one of the best. Selland Arena, Fresno, CA, USA 1st January & 5th December 1978 AMAZING SHOT!!!!!
