From the acoustic live concert held at the time of the release of the album “Change Of Season”, the concert at The Sands Hotel and Casino in New Jersey was recorded for 70 minutes on an official ultra-high quality sound board on November 9, 1991. While listening to this, many people may remember the fall 1991 Japan tour that took place with the same lineup just one month before this concert. Although the performance is based on acoustics, the well-known backing band with advanced techniques allows us to hear plenty of ensembles that are different from those on regular tours, making it a satisfying listen. From the new album, the soulful Starting All Over Again and the moving So Close will be played. Bob Mayo, who passed away last February, also shines with his wonderful keyboard playing that colors each song. In Japan, it was a large-scale concert that included the Yoyogi Olympic Pool, and Hall & Oates’ high-quality live performance in a wonderful sound space with a club-like atmosphere is truly a masterpiece. This is a great album where you can fully enjoy performances unique to this period, with representative songs effectively scattered throughout.
