Description
Hall & Oates reached its peak in 1983 with the huge hit of “H2O”. A super masterpiece pro shot that records all the seats has been decided to be released. The true identity of this work is the ultimate version of the live video “ROCK ‘N SOUL LIVE” that was officially released during its heyday. It’s not just an official copy. This is a DVD version of the laser disc master from the production process (this is not the product version of the LD. At the time, LDs were also used as high-end work recording media at production sites). Even though they say they are “masters of the production process,” the process is just about complete. The cuts and sound mix are perfect, and the album is flawless from top to bottom. At first glance, it doesn’t seem to be any different from the official video, but in fact, there are no member subtitles that were supposed to be included in the first song “Family Man”, so it’s actually a master still in production! You may be thinking, “There’s no caption…so what?”, but of course, that’s just evidence. Let’s get to the main topic here. The taste of the master just before completion is its quality, and the image and sound quality before dubbing to the commercial master is amazing. Although dubbing at professional production sites is highly accurate and on a different level than consumer equipment, it is still from the analog era of the 1980s. Even just one dubbing will cause significant deterioration. It is amazing enough even if it is small, but the point is “Laser Disc Master” more than that. Laser discs, which were an up-and-coming medium at the time, were rarely used during production, but for some reason Hall & Oates had burned them as masters. That’s why, even after more than 30 years, it has remained intact and has been preserved in its original condition, with no uneven running or line noise. The master was unearthed in 2015 and digitized using direct diving without any deterioration. That is what this work is about. I think you can understand just by talking about this course, but the quality is actually amazing when you see it with your own eyes. This video has also been made into a DVD from the official video, but the image and sound quality is clearly on a whole other level. Not only the freshness of the sound, but also the beauty of the visuals that jumps out at you from the first shot. The colors are (extremely!) beautiful, and the edges are natural. It’s far, far beyond the official version! The stage from that “H2O” era is recorded with such quality. Let’s organize the contents here. ●VOICES (4 songs)・Diddy Doo Wop (I Hear The Voices), Kiss On My List, You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’, You Make My Dreams ●PRIVATE EYES (2 songs)・I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do), Private Eyes ●H2O (6 songs)・Family Man, Italian Girls, Art Of Heartbreak, One on One, Maneater, Open All Night ●Others (4 songs)・She’s Gone (ABANDONED LUNCHEONETTE), Sarah Smile (DARYL HALL & JOHN OATES), Room To Breathe (BIGGER THAN BOTH OF US), Wait For Me (X-STATIC)… and so on. Contains many famous songs from the platinum albums “VOICES,” “PRIVATE EYES,” and “H2O,” which colored the early 1980s. Just by looking at the name of the song, your brain will jump out of time and space, one after another, and Daryl sings it with his shirt sleeves rolled up just as he remembers it. Of course, John and G.E. Smith’s guitars are sharp and the singing voices of “Italian Girls” are also youthful. When it comes to the harmonies of “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin'” and “She’s Gone”… In fact, they will perform a live performance of a super luxurious set that is only a few songs different from the masterpiece best “ROCK ‘N SOUL PART 1”. The rush of hits exudes an early 80’s vibe. You could even call it “Western music” itself. He played and sang well, had great taste, and once you heard the melodies, you couldn’t forget them, giving you the aroma of Western music. I feel like I was a little proud of myself for understanding that charm. Among them, Hall & Oates was the one that shone like a first-class star. This is a piece that shows off their symbolic heyday with more freshness than the official version. Live at The Forum, Montreal, Quebec, Canada March 10-11, 1983 PRO-SHOT(BEST QUALITY EVER) 1.
