Guru’s Jazzmatazz/Germany 2009

Founding member of Gang Starr, Keith Edward Elam, also known as Gooroo, has been merging jazz and hip-hop with his albums, the Jazzmatazz Series, and has expressed the results live. The wonderful sound world of partner Solar and their backing band 7 Grand Players has been turned into a CDR from air check of radio broadcast sound source. Guru passed away from cancer in 2010, but his live performance from nearly a year ago was a blast and didn’t make you think of that at all. It’s very interesting to see what kind of live they were doing, but the sound board live is extremely rare, and it’s a title you should definitely get.
