Description
“Axl/Slash/Duff” came to Japan on 24 years and 6 days. A CD that will capture the long-awaited first day with the best sound is now available! Japan in January 2017 was completely colored with GUNS N’ ROSES. After all, even if there are countless reunions in the rock world, “GUNS N’ ROSES is different.” It’s impossible not to get excited when you witness the reunion of the three people who Axl once said, “NOT IN THIS LIFETIME (It can’t happen while I’m alive).” This work records the first day, “January 21, 2017: Osaka Kyocera Dome Performance,” where the impact exploded. The best records of all the performances have been released last week and this week, so let’s organize them again.・January 21: Osaka Kyocera Dome [this work] ・January 22: “KOBE 2017” ・January 25: “LIVE YOKOHAMA 2017” ・January 28: “LIVE SAITAMA 2017 1ST NIGHT” ・January 29: “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2017 2ND NIGHT” A total of 5 performances. The first day of the Osaka performance was very well received, with the fastest report board “LIVE OSAKA 2017”, but this work is a completely different recording. The one who recorded this work is the master “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”. A master who has left behind fierce and superb recordings, mainly HR/HM. I’m sure there is no customer of our store who doesn’t know about his masterful skills. There is no way that the master would miss this precious live performance for the first time in 24 years, and he has provided us with this live album. The sound is truly a masterpiece. The sound of the recent “LIVE OSAKA 2017” was also great, but compared to this work, the bass edge was blurred. This work is even more direct, and Duff McKagan’s gritty groove is super clear. In other words, the “go” of “gritty”. The outline of this guy is sharp, and it approaches you. The secret is transparency. The reverberation is thinner than the previous release, and there is almost no wraparound. It is said that the PA balance in Osaka was not so good (compared to all performances), and the sound was stupidly loud, but the power of the original sound did not spread, and it is a sound that contributes to the sharpness. Also worth mentioning is the lack of cheers. Of course, the enthusiasm of the site is absorbed, but it is strangely far away, and there is no trouble with the chorus and screams nearby. Only the “real” GUNS N’ ROSES is beautifully drawn. There is a reason for this. This time, Mr. Strongest formed a taper team with his friends, the recordists. They attempted a group recording in a packed seat. Of course, the recordists watch the live in silence, so this work is also isolated from the surrounding noise. To be frank, the previous “LIVE OSAKA 2017” was also a work of another recording by this team. I don’t know how many people were in the team, but they provided us with the best 1 and 2 recordings. Therefore, (although the feel of the sound is quite different) the lack of audience noise and the balance of musical tones are quite close to “LIVE OSAKA 2017”. The first day depicted with such quality is the shock of “24 years and 6 days”. In terms of pure music, the condition of the accelerator and the set list are better in the Kobe performance the next day, but this work has a sense of tension and on-site that can only be found on this day. After all, GUNS N’ ROSES are habitual offenders of lateness and cancellations. Although I had heard that they started to start on time for overseas performances, it was hard to believe…or rather, were the three really together? Was it really going to start? Such anxiety and expectation created an eerie atmosphere. Apparently the opening act did not get very excited at this Osaka performance, but perhaps they were too anxious to think about it. The moment the performance started, breaking the tension, and with each song, the feeling “The three of us are really together!!” erupted. It was as if they were a band visiting Japan for the first time. It was vacuum-packed with 100% real sound. 24 years and 6 days since the Tokyo Dome in 1993. This was the moment rock, which was supposed to “never happen in my lifetime”, returned to Japan. This masterpiece captures it with the superb sound of “Mr. Strongest”. A once-in-a-lifetime night that will be engraved in the history of Western music in Japan.
