Description
In response to fan requests, the title “CATCH THE RAINBOW TOUR 2014: ALWAYS BE THERE”, which includes shows in the Netherlands and England from Graham Bonnet’s short-term European tour in the fall of 2014, has been re-released here. Decided! Graham, who has launched a new solo unit “BONNET” with young members, will definitely have a listen to his latest live performance! Graham Bonnet built a solo career in the 1970s and made a strong impression on the hard rock scene with RAINBOW and ALCATRAZZ in the 1980s. Although his activities were modest in the 1990s, since 2000 he has attracted the attention of fans by co-starring with Don Airey and Chris Impellitteri, and in recent years he has appeared three times in total with his activities as ALCATRAZZ Featuring GRAHAM BONNET. The day has come to fruition, and we are showing off that it is still alive and well. Around June 2014, he announced “BONNET” as his “new band activity.” This unit, which is led by Graham and includes Californian female bassist Beth Ami Heavenstone and South American guitarist Conrad Pecinado, is making people wonder, “What kind of music is it?” It was attracting attention. The band’s de facto debut tour was a European and UK tour with a total of 9 performances booked from November to December 2014. This was called the “Catch The Rainbow Tour” like the UK tour in spring 2014, and although it had something in common in that they played many RAINBOW numbers, there was a big difference. It was in the middle of the live show that new songs and unexpected song selections from the new unit “BONNET” were performed. In recent years, Graham has been performing live mainly songs from the 1980s, and it has been since his solo live around 2000 that new songs have been featured. That alone must have made fans think, “I want to listen to this live!” This work “CATCH THE RAINBOW TOUR 2014: ALWAYS BE THERE” includes two performances of Graham’s latest live performances that fans are dying to hear, with excellent audience recordings! Let’s fully enjoy Graham’s current work-in-progress, including not only the parts of the new songs that are attracting attention, but also the “one day only” numbers played during interactions with fans. Disc 1 includes approximately 80 songs from the Harlem performance in the Netherlands on November 28th. Completely recorded in minutes. This day’s recording has some scenes with strong audio input, and the sound image is not clear, but you can enjoy lively and vivid sound that realistically captures the excitement of the audience and the happy mood of the venue. . Furthermore, while troubleshooting the guitar equipment, there is a jam scene by the band, and there are many interesting scenes such as Graham connecting with a long MC. Disc 2 includes about 70 minutes of the live performance in Liverpool, England, on December 3rd, the 7th performance of the tour. This is an audience recording that can be declared to be of the highest quality in every respect, such as the clarity of the sound and the closeness of the performance (it can even be released on a press CD as is!). The sets at these two live shows will be a series of surprises for fans. “All Night Long” is played from the first song of the live performance, bringing the listener’s expectations and excitement to Top Gear from the beginning. It is a promise that we will pick up “Love’s No Friend” next, but after that, we have chosen songs that are connoisseurs even from the RAINBOW era, such as “Makin’ Love” and “Bad Girl”. And the best place to listen is in the middle of the live show! Here, Graham himself picked up an acoustic guitar and performed two new songs. We will let you hear a new sound as “BONNET”. Graham’s song “Always Be There” dedicated to THE BEATLES and the melodious and powerful “The Mirror Lies” are both relaxed and enjoyable in a good way. They also play THE BEATLES’ cover “Eight Days A Week” and the hidden gem “The Witchwood” from ALCATRAZZ’s 3rd album “DANGEROUS GAME”. These songs will give listeners the feeling that Graham is “doing the music he wants to make.” In addition, there are passages from “Johnny B. Goode” from the Harlem performance on Disc 1 and “Please Please Me” from the Liverpool performance on Disc 2 (at this time, Graham said, “I was influenced by the Beatles…”). The “one day only” scenes are also interesting. The climax of the live was the promised “Since You Been Gone”, “Lost In Hollywood”, and “Night Games”, closing the live with the highest excitement! Both shows create a fun and passionate live performance with a warm audience. Since his debut with MARBLES, Graham has had a long and glorious career spanning approximately 40 years. With a fresh start, he started the “BONNET” live show with young members… Graham is currently practicing the “music he wants to do” and is shining right now!
