Description
“Rock audience recording”… “READING ’76” (hereafter, another CD) is a miraculous musical work born from such a unique culture. The scene where the goddess of recording was celebrating with a big smile was also recorded on video. That is this work. It was filmed by the same record company staff as the other CD on 8mm, and although it is only about 4 and a half minutes long, it is a world premiere video that shows a scene that no one has ever seen before. The main part was a “professional audience” that could only be achieved because of the seats for those involved, but it is an extremely valuable video that reproduces the gaze of the person himself. The quality of this work is superb because it is based on the actual film that was handed over to us by the photographer himself. Although it has a lot of vintage feeling of 8mm from 40 years ago, its freshness transcends time and space, and the fiercely vivid colors are dazzling to the eye. And the shock is the scene. Each member who spins out intense jazz rock is freely captured up close, making the colorful performance even more colorful. Of course, it was a silent 8mm film, so we covered it with the historically superb sound of another CD, making it a masterpiece worthy of the unparalleled scene. What’s even more surprising is the recording/shooting position that realized the “professional audience”. When you zoom in close to each person, you don’t feel the gap with the sound, but the sense of distance when you pull back and capture the whole view of the stage is too different from the extremely close sound. It’s hard to believe that the same person recorded and shot it. It doesn’t show on the screen, but was there a PA right next to the seats for the people involved, or was it even a dedicated PA for selling to the record company? There are perspectives and sounds that seem to have been carefully prepared to film everything about the band and record it to the best. Is it the band’s intention, or just a miracle? It’s hard to measure, but as a result, a historic recording was left behind and the scene was also excavated. Recording and shooting in the audience. It was not official, it was not a sound board, but the sound and video were only possible because of the underground culture…the “miracle of the audience” that was happening at the same time as the miraculous performance.
