Description
The definitive edition of George and Ravi Shankar’s Seattle performance on November 4th, the second day of their 1974 North American tour, is now available! In general, I think this was the live performance that was recognized by fans as the high-quality live performance that represented 1974 with “LIVE IN SEATTLE 1974” (2CD), which was released around 1996, but this edition features songs that appeared in recent years. Adjustments have been made based on the latest JEMS version, and the CD has been released. There are several titles that have already been released, but this is the first time that the low pitch, which was slightly out of order with JEMS, has been adjusted, and the volume has been increased to a good level without destroying the waveform, and the high range has also been slightly EQ adjusted. Since it is a sound source, there is no increase in hiss due to EQ) By carefully performing the adjustment, the natural brightness has increased slightly throughout, making it a title that can definitely be said to be the definitive album of the day. Also, this sound source originally had two cuts between songs, but in this JEMS version there was an editing error in the cut between songs after “I Am Missing You”, and about 10 seconds of sound was duplicated. For some reason, two parts in the inter-song part immediately after this cut part were inserted and attached as duplicates, but in this title, those duplicate parts have been carefully removed, and the problem has been resolved for the first time. (Main disc 2 2nd song CD time around 5:35 between songs. This disc is in a state where there are natural cuts between songs). It seems that there are no cuts during the performance of the song, and although it is monaural, the sound is very close, clear and well-balanced, and this unquestionably excellent sound source representing the early days of the tour is now available on the definitive edition with the latest careful mastering. ! Fans who think of GEORGE’s ’74 as having a stereotypical image of “I have a bad throat” should definitely listen to this famous live performance.
