Description

From the must-have label for Beatles fans, a series of titles that summarize all the material from George’s solo period has appeared. The second of these is here. Disc 1 of this work starts with the sound source related to the movie “Shanghai Surprise”. And while the appearance of Prince Trust in 1987 was a hot topic because it was a collaboration with Ringo and Clapton and a stage for the first time in a long time, it is not well known that he actually performed for two days, but both days are recorded here, and while the second day is famous and was released officially, the performance of the first day is the first time. In particular, it is important to check out the fact that it includes “Stand By Me” performed by everyone. Other recordings include the performance when he jumped on Dylan’s stage, the demo of “Ding Dong Ding Dong” provided for Warner’s promotion, and the recording of the 1974 US tour. And disc 2 starts with the performance when he jumped on Clapton’s stage in 1990, which can be said to be a collaboration between the two that laid the groundwork for the Japan tour the following year. And what’s interesting is “This Guitar,” which was re-recorded in 1992. It’s unclear why it was re-recorded that year, but it has a different atmosphere from the original version. And to close the album is “Your True Love,” which George performed at the funeral of Carl Perkins, his childhood hero. This title, including the first appearance of the sound source, has many rare sound sources that are only available here, and the material from his solo period is perfectly covered.
