Description

From a must-have label for Beatles fans, a series of titles that summarize all the material from George’s solo period has been released. The first of these is here. Disc 1 of this work starts with an alternate take of “You”. This song opens the album “George Harrison Empire”, and here we have another take recorded in a session with Ronnie Spector in February 1971. Tracks 2 and 3 contain rough mixes of both sides of the single “Bangladesh”. In addition, there is a guitar demo of “Sue Me Sue You Blue”, outtakes from the albums “Dark Horse” and “33 & 1/3”. “The Pirate Song” is a black joke number by George, who recorded it at a time when “My Sweet Lord” was under suspicion of plagiarism, with the intro being “My Sweet Lord” but the song being completely different. Disc 2 includes outtakes from the albums “George Harrison,” “Far Away England,” and “Gone Troppo,” as well as studio demos such as “Life Itself” and “I Don’t Want To Do It.” In particular, “Shelter In Your Love,” recorded in 1985, is making its debut, and the final track is a surprise appearance at the Heartbeat concert on March 15, 1986, when Jonny B Goode, a former Beatle, appears to great cheers. Some of the material is only available here, and the album perfectly covers all of his solo material. DISC ONE :(RONNIE SPECTOR SESSIONS Apple Studios London U.K. February 1971) 01.
