From the 1974 US tour, which was his only solo tour, the performance at the St. Louis Arena in Missouri on November 20th was recorded on the recently unearthed Low Generation Audience Master, with the latest digital remastering in 2024. Although only Ravi Shankar’s part in the middle of the tour is not included, all of George’s parts are included, including songs by Billy Preston and Tom Scott, and the sound quality is much better than the previously distributed sound sources, and the quality has been further improved by the latest mastering. As for the live content, at the beginning of the tour, George himself was stiff and the band was awkward, but in the middle of this tour there was no nervous atmosphere, and George joked that “My name is Neil Diamond” during the member introduction. The performance, especially the flow from Billy Preston’s solo in the second half to “A Beautiful Life” and “My Sweet Lord” is full of energy and passion, and you can feel the excitement of the venue.
