Description
An almost complete recording of the January 30th Fest Hall performance in Bern, Switzerland from the first major Euro tour in 1972, from Audience Master, which can be said to be of good quality at the time when it was discovered in recent years. This is a valuable early live performance of the band, which is still highly popular for its outstanding performance techniques, along with Yes, Crimson, and others, and it coincides with the band’s “Three Friends” (3rd original work/debut in the US). Only at the time of release, the number of the same album will be the main one. And, at this point, it was the first tour in which John Weathers, who will be a member from the next album, participated, and on the other hand, it was also a period of change as drummer Malcolm Maltimore left after this. The set list, which was carefully selected from the first to third songs, allows you to fully enjoy the sound of early GG. They originally had a reputation for live performances, and now that they have expanded to the United States, they have even more of a groove. The increased performance is powerful and incomparable to the studio version. Jazz-rock is more technical than Yes, more difficult than Crimson, perfect chorus harmony, beautiful melody lines, and fashionable arrangements. The climax stage is reproduced here. 1. Alucard/2. Funny Ways/3. Nothing At All (incl. Drum Solo)/4. Plain Truth (incl. Violin Solo)/5. The Queen [Live at Festhalle, Bern, Switzerland January 30th 1972]
