Description
This newly discovered stereo soundboard recording captures the April 28th performance in Glasgow, Scotland, from the 1980 Euro tour accompanying the release of “DUKE.” First, it was recorded directly from the master mixer, thanks to a leak from the relevant parties. The unprocessed sound is incredibly realistic, clearly reproducing even the subtle nuances of the band ensemble. Furthermore, a small portion of the unreleased opening section is complemented by a premium audience recording, providing a 2-hour, 23-minute complete rendition of the day’s performance. The setlist is significantly different from the later, more extensive North American tour, featuring tracks like “Say It’s Alright Joe” and “Follow You Follow Me” from “And Then Three Remained,” as well as “The Carpet Crawlers,” “One For The Vine,” and “The Knife,” all exclusive to this Euro tour. While the direct mixboard recording somewhat lacks the live feel, the unprocessed and unedited sound delivers unparalleled power in the band sound and vocals.
