Description
The shocking series of unreleased Genesis soundboards is about to explode! Three soundboards from the “ABACAB Tour” will be released together! This is the first of three releases. It’s a stereo soundboard recording from the “Largo Performance on November 30, 1981.” Genesis-related soundboards are being unearthed at a furious pace, with the “ABACAB Tour” being a particularly shocking event. In addition to the already highly popular “OTTAWA 1981 SOUNDBOARD” and “ROSEMONT 1981 SOUNDBOARD,” three more works have been added this week. Of course (?), all are from separate performances, and all are completely unheard-of treasures. Let’s quickly organize the collection in light of the overview of their activities at the time. “ABACAB” released on September 14th: September 25th – November 2nd: Europe (33 performances) ← *GERMAN REPLIES November 12th – December 11th: North America (25 performances) ← ★COCO★ December 17th – 23rd: UK (7 performances) This is GENESIS in 1981. Speaking of soundboards from that time, the classic “European” leg “GERMAN REPLIES: FRANKFURT 1981” has long been a standard, but this new excavation series is all “North American” leg. This leg is also included in the official work “THREE SIDES LIVE”, so let’s focus on the dates and check them in more detail. “North America” leg ・ November 12th + 13th (2 performances) * November 14th “ROSEMONT 1981 SOUNDBOARD” ・ November 15th-27th (11 performances) * November 28th: New York performance (1 official song) * November 29th: Nassau performance (4 official songs) * November 30th: Largo performance ←★This work★ * December 2nd “HARTFORD 1981 SOUNDBOARD” ・ December 3rd + 4th (2 performances) * December 5th “OTTAWA 1981 SOUNDBOARD” ・ December 6th-10th (4 performances) * December 11th “SYRACUSE 1981 SOUNDBOARD” … and so on. This Lago performance follows the Nassau performance, which featured four songs on “THREE SIDES LIVE.” In other words, this is the closest recording to “THREE SIDES LIVE” in this new excavation series. This work, which conveys such a live performance, is an extremely raw soundboard that truly represents a “Three Sides Live” and “real THREE SIDES LIVE.” Unlike the meticulously polished official production, it was clearly recorded directly from the mix desk, with both the performance and vocals blasting out of the speakers completely unprocessed and unedited. While each of the new excavation series features a vivid, outflowing sound, this work is particularly striking. Without any supplemental audience recording, the full show is permeated with an otherworldly sense of synchronization, as if the entire body were part of the PA. This otherworldly soundboard depicts a full show that is astounding with extremely rare songs. While the three-person GENESIS often has a fixed set, the “ABACAB Tour” also saw some subtle changes. This day was different from the previous works “ROSEMONT 1981 SOUNDBOARD” and “OTTAWA 1981 SOUNDBOARD”. Finally, let’s organize it by comparison. Duke (4 songs): Behind The Lines / Duchess / Misunderstanding / Turn It On Again (*) Abacab (6 songs): Dodo-Lurker / Abacab / No Reply At All / Man On The Corner / Who Dunnit? / Like It or Not (★*) Classics (6 songs +α): Moonlit Knight: Firth Of Fifth / I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) / Dazzling Broadway: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway / The Carpet Crawlers / Trick of the Tale: Dance On A Volcano / Los Endos / Medley: In The Cage / The Cinema Show / The Colony of Slippermen / Afterglow *Note: Songs marked with a “★” are not included in the previous albums, “ROSEMONT 1981 SOUNDBOARD” and “OTTAWA 1981 SOUNDBOARD.” Songs marked with an “*” are not included in the simultaneously released “SYRACUSE 1981 SOUNDBOARD.” The highly anticipated and extremely rare song is “Like It or Not”! Some people may have first learned about this song being featured live through this work. That’s because “Like It or Not” was limited to the North American leg of the “ABACAB Tour.” It’s also incredibly rare, having only been played five times (confirmed by sound). Who would have thought we’d be able to enjoy it on a premium soundboard? This single track alone makes this a treasure among treasures. It’s a shocking soundboard, worthy of being called a “Three Sides Live,” and even featuring the extremely rare “Like It or Not.” Even among the unusually mass-produced soundboards that debuted, this is a must-listen. A stereo soundboard recording of the “Largo Performance on November 30, 1981.” This is the latest installment in the new soundboard excavation series that has shocked collectors all over the world, and it is also a top-notch mix table direct connection system. This is an unprocessed/unedited ultra-raw soundboard, and it is an absolute must-listen that you can enjoy up to the extremely rare song “Like It or Not” that has only been discovered five times.
