Description
In the history of GENESIS… No, one of the most important albums in the music genre “progressive rock” has been digitally remastered and reprinted. The “most important” is the super-excellent stereo sound board of the “Lakeland performance on January 11, 1975”. Yes, it is the highest peak album of the “Broadway of Dazzling” live. [The ultimate live album of progressive rock] This work is truly the ultimate one. Speaking of “Broadway of Dazzling”, it is a monumental story album comparable to “Tommy” and “The Wall”, but unfortunately it did not reach one point of “spread”. While both “Tommy” and “The Wall” can be enjoyed many times and in many layers in re-enacted live works, movies, musicals, etc., the complete body of “Broadway of Dazzling” is only the original studio album. There is almost no possibility that GENESIS themselves will reunite or that each member will do a re-enactment tour. Of course, the album was reproduced at the time, and now it has been made into an official work in “ARCHIVE 1967-75”, and those who read this nonsense will remember the rush to excavate soundboards a few years ago. Our shop has delivered many masterpieces such as “MAPLE LEAF LAMB”, “ROCHESTER 1974”, “DEFINITIVE FLORIDA LAMB”, “LAMB MASTER IN LOS ANGELES”, “THE LAMB LIES DOWN IN PHOENIX”, and “THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON EMPIRE”. However, none of them were “ultimate”. In “ARCHIVE 1967-75”, Peter Gabriel in his 40s overdubbed, and the soundboards had cuts and noise somewhere (even if only slightly), and the balance was blurred. Our works have also complemented such shortcomings with separate recordings and corrected them as much as possible with mastering. However, among them, only the Lakeland performance of this work was different. The stereo soundboard recording that was released as “ULTIMATE LAMB” is, as the name suggests, “ultimate”. There were no leaks or noises in the recording, which had been lacking the finishing touch until then, and of course there was no overdubbing. It was a unique work that conveyed “the true essence of the time” with a seamless complete recording from start to finish, and was comparable to the original studio album. [Reprinted with the latest meticulous remaster] It was such a definitive edition that it sold out and was out of print in an instant. It had disappeared from the market for a long time. This work is a remastered reproduction of such a historic super-excellent stereo soundboard. Of course, even though it is a remaster, it would be pointless if the precious “breath of 1975” was erased with unrefined equalization. This work makes the most of the sound that the original master had absorbed, while adjusting the “ringing” more naturally. Originally, the soundboard sound has the disadvantage of being stiff and flat. The sound board boasts the ultimate direct feeling and rich color, and has a fantasy feeling that is typical of GENESIS and “Broadway of Dazzling”. To be honest, it is not a big change, but because it is the ultimate sound board, I want to finish it in the ultimate form. For that reason, fine adjustments are made throughout the entire work. “Broadway of Dazzling” of live performance drawn with that sound … is truly one of a kind. While reproducing the elaborate composition and story one by one, the dynamism of “The ‘golden five’ are right there” that is different from the studio album. The feeling of hearing every word of the lyrics that cannot be recorded in the audience. And yet the feeling of embracing the venue at the scene that is different from the already released version. And the MC that is freed from the frame of the analog four sides and spells a story that cannot be conveyed by lyrics alone … all of that is complete, but it is a glossy and seamless complete recording that does not attract many sound boards. It is truly the ultimate one that goes beyond the ultimate. The rare story of “Broadway’s Dazzling” that has never been made into a movie or a musical, let alone a repeat performance. No matter how many official versions there are, no matter how many superb soundboards there are, only this work has reached the same level as the original studio album. A complete story album written by five storytellers in their live voices. Its ultimate form. Live at Lakeland Civic Center Concert Hall, Lakeland, FL.
