Description
This is a cultural heritage live performance recorded on an unreleased soundboard in 1974, where Ralph Towner, an acoustic guitarist representing ECM, joined the live performance of Gary Burton Quintet, which Pat Metheny participated in, and is a very rare live performance that will astonish enthusiasts. The cassette tape itself was severely damaged due to aging, but it was beautifully restored by overseas remastering craftsmen, removing noise and correcting the pitch of each song. Now, looking at the set list of the day, the opening was Chick Corea, followed by a Carla Bley song, and the third song was Ralph Towner’s “Matchbook”. It is noteworthy that Ralph Towner’s song was also played on the eighth and tenth songs. Still, I would like to be happy that such a valuable live recording has seen the light of day.
